Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is transmitted to the third-party company that operates it. That provider processes the search and returns its results. Chilton County Court Docket does not keep a log of the names or case numbers entered in the tool.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the website may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics logs can collect technical details when a page loads:
- Device IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Small browser files and analytics services help measure visits, popular pages, and navigation patterns. Browser controls can block cookies, although a disabled cookie may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information may be used for these operating purposes:
- Maintaining site performance and availability
- Sending a requested search to the selected provider
- Understanding which reference pages receive use
- Finding security, display, or technical faults
- Serving advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Chilton County Court Docket does not host or sell a database of personal court files. It publishes general directions to the Chilton County Circuit Clerk, Alabama trial courts, municipal and probate custodians, and Alacourt ACCESS. Public inspection of Alabama court records is governed by the Alabama Rules of Court-Record Privacy and Confidentiality, including Rule 104, together with Ala. Code section 36-12-40 and specific confidentiality laws. Those public-record rules do not turn visitor analytics into court records. This website is not a consumer reporting agency and does not assemble visitor information into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes that appear on content pages. Their own policies govern submitted information, storage, disclosure, prices, and results. Review the applicable provider policy before entering a query because this policy does not control that separate service.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Chilton County Circuit Clerk, Alabama court systems, municipal portals, statutes, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Advertising services may also use their own technology to measure activity across websites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- A search provider that receives a query
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks placing material on a page
- Authorities responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for data under the website's control. No Internet service can guarantee perfect security, so an absolute promise against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access is not made.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed when a valid request is received.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide rights based on a visitor's residence and the type of information involved. A request may ask to:
- Review personal information held by the website
- Correct inaccurate stored information
- Delete information when the law permits deletion
- Opt out of a covered form of processing
Alabama's court-access statutes govern records maintained by courts and public custodians. Requests to inspect or correct an official Chilton County court record must go to the Circuit Clerk or other originating custodian, not to this private website.
